The Great Plains
Correctional Facility is located in Hinton, Oklahoma. The facility is a
Medium Custody private prison under contract to the Arizona Department
of Corrections to provide custody and care for 916 Medium/Minimum
inmates. The facility was constructed in 1991 and received its first ADC
inmate under contract on September 12, 2007. The facility is operated
and managed by Cornell Corrections.
