DIRECTIONS TO COTA ACADEMY

Interstate 10 In Tucson is going through Major Construction for the next three years. Please use the following driving directions to reach the academy during this period.

Westbound Interstate 10 Closes Tonight

(Tucson, AZ) -- The first major and dreaded closures on Interstate 10 begin tonight. Westbound travel on I-10 will close at 10 p.m. All westbound traffic will be required to exit at 29th Street and use the three-lane frontage road. Traffic will not be able to get back on the freeway until Prince Road. Two freeway lanes will reopen Sunday afternoon, but the on and off-ramps will remain closed for the duration of the I-10 Widening Project. The last on-ramps will be South Sixth Avenue or I-19; the first off-ramp will be Ruthrauff Road. Eastbound I-10 will not be affected by this weekend's closure. However, eastbound I-10 will have a very similar closure the following weekend. Once eastbound travel on I-10 reopens on Sunday June 26th, all the eastbound on and off-ramps will remain closed for the duration of the project as well. The widening project has a tentative completion date of spring 2010.

From Phoenix:

From Interstate 10 in Tucson, take the El Camino Del Cerro exit. Go west approximately 1 mile on El Camino Del Cerro, until it you reach Silverbell Road. Make a left at Silverbell and turn left going south. Take Silverbell Rd. down to Grant Rd. Grant Rd. will change names and become Ironwood Hills Road west of Silverbell Rd. Make a Right on Ironwood Hills and go approximately 2miles and Ironwood Hills will end at Camino De Oeste. Make a left on Camino De Oeste. Go 1 mile to West Trails End road and make a right. The Academy is 1.4 miles on the left. See the maps that follow..

From Douglas, Safford and East of Tucson:

From Interstate 10 in Tucson, get off on Kino Parkway going North. Continue on Kino Parkway until you reach Speedway Boulevard. Turn Left on Speedway Boulevard going West until you reach Camino De Oeste (Approximately 8 Miles).Turn Right on Camino De Oeste and go approximately ½ mile to West Trails End Road and make a left. The Academy is 1.4 miles on the left. See the maps that follow..
